Hello everybody!

I am a student and i just started my final thesis. I d like to ask you, if GC is able to give results for humic acid adsorbed on goethite? (i ll do catalytic oxidation firstly)

Cant wait to see your answers

This one especially:

It would appear that a quick answer is yes.

Your best bet is to call the Agilent tech help line and ask what column would be best for analysis of Humic Acid. If you have one of the "big book of columns" from agilent, then it may be found in the index.

edit: I went ahead and reached over to mine and looked... couldn't find it, but they can probably help. (The book for future reference is called "The Essential Chromatography and Spectroscopy Catalog")
GC-TCD/NPD (Agilent 7890)
GC-MS (Agilent 6890)
GC-TCD/uECD (HP 5890) - "Ole Miss"
GC-TCD (Carle)
GC-TCD/FID (SRI)
IC - (Dionex ICS-3000 + AS1/ERG)

JTM,

thank you very much for your answer. I will go through the information you gave me and i hope it ll work! Anyway, you may see another post of me soon!
