Sedex 75 with Controller Software

Hi all,

We are looking at getting a used Sedex 75 for use with one of our Agilent 1100s. The literature method we want to employ requires that the ELSD gain be adjusted during the run (i.e., 0-10 min, gain=10; 10-20, gain=12; 20-30, gain=11).

For this purpose, S.E.D.E.R.E. has a software package (Sedex Controller) available but they don't really support it anymore. Some documents indicate that the Sedex 75 must be upgraded to a "75S" to work with the software, whereas others refer only to a "75".

Does anyone currently use it (or have you used it in the past) with an Agilent 1100? Does anyone know anything about this upgrade?

Thanks
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.
Hi,
I know this response is a little late, but maybe it will still help you out. Our lab has a Sedex 75. We have never used it with an Agilent 1100a, but we did upgrade it to work with the controller software. the upgrade requires buying a $57.00 chip from Shimadzu. The part number is 220-91312-00. Since they changed the format of their site, it's impossible to find anything. I'm sure if you call them, you can order it over the phone.
