my application is determining residual hexane content in paprika and oleoresin. it is possible that the method has been compromised. i have little experience with gc's short of making injections(manually) and am not sure as how to recreate or check the method parameters. also the machine is returning the following faults. 43:detector A polarizer, 46:detector A autozero exceeded, 254:detector A: detector too noisy to check, 255:detector A: detector supply voltage won't turn off. can anyone give me some help?

Hi Andy

In your place I would call a Varian/Agilent or whoever is the supplier in your area and get a service engineer out.

Andynm,

Please drop me an e-mail (aicmm at flash.net.) I am in Abq and can probably help with your system. I actually saw your set up several years ago when looking for better ways to get the hexane out of the paprika.

Best regards.
