TCD cleaning w/o baking out

I have been working with an agilent 6890 equipped with a TCD and autosampler. I recently ran a sample of ferrocene (C10H10Fe) in methanol and am concerned that the iron settled on the tungsten of the filament. Is there a way to clean the filament or am SOL and need to buy a new one? I don't think that cooking out will be helpful in this case...or will it

What makes you think you have contaminated it? Reduction in sensitivity? Weird noise profile?

What solvent did you dissolve the ferrocene in? You may be able to wash the detector with that solvent.

You could replace the filament.
