greetings! i have a mono Q column that no matter how many times i scrub and equilibrate, is giving me very large (~1000mOD) peaks when I equilibrate (go back and forth between buffers A and B a few times).

I would guess that the column is just really really dirty, however this peaks only comes off the column intermittenly. during some equilibration runs it is completely absent - then in others it crops up. I only have this problem with one of the 3 mono Q columns i use, so it's not the FPLC, etc.

Can anyone help? is my gel bed cracked or something?
