How can I collect data using HP 6890 Series integrator? I managed to do a plot and when I did a trial injection I observed all the peaks however the 'Plot' function does not provide retention time and area for the peaks which I need for documentation.

When I press 'Start' to begin data acqusition after a manual injection, the integrator stop acquiring data after 1 sec and print 'Stop'. Can someone please tell me why I cannot aquire data for the whole run.

Please someone save me, I served online and read through the manuals still cannot find the solution.

Thanks in advance.

Never heard of a 6890 integrator. Ar you using a stand-alone HP integrator (3396)?

Yes that's the one. It said 6890 on the integrator itself

Please advise how I can fix the problem.

Thanks.

vliu,

Your run time is set too short. Do a <list><time> to print your timed events table and you should see a Stop command at the 0.05 or something like that. <Del> <Time> <0.05> (or whatever the stop time is) should get rid of that line. Then reset the stop time with <Stop><Time><10.00> to get a 10 minute run.

If this does not work, please re-post and I will dig a little further into the commands (it has been a long time...)

Best regards.

Aicmm,
I checked before,I extended the runtime to 100 mins but still doesn't work. I resetted the integrator ctrl+del+enter just before leaving work. Hopefully will work, will keep u posted.

No luck....same thing, integrator print 'start' then immediately print 'end'.

vliu,

Please post your list time, list list and list method.

Best regards.

I finally figure out why with the help from Agilent engneerer, it was a cable connection problem. I was told my remote cable is not original and so the connection is not gd. Simple issue and took me so long to resolve...
