Hi, can i use high pressure tubing for sample loop? I dont see difference between manufactured sample loop and self-prepared sample loop using tubing.

Yes. See the following page for further information http://www.ionsource.com/Card/loop/loop.htm including a calculator for the volume of a piece of tubing of given length and diameter.

Yes you can, BUT PLEASE Note that you will never get exacly a 20µl sample loop and you need to measure the volumn and note it in your method. If you have a 20,135µl loop, for example, and you always use that self produced loop, it might be ok. I see difficulties with the authorities if you want to validate a method. Reason is, that YOUR sample loop is unique and nobody can reproduce it in his lab. If don`t want to validate your method, go ahead. Good luck.

Years ago, I worked in a lab where we prepared our own sample loops. We had to start using commercially made and calibrated loops after an audit. This was a cGMP regulated laboratory.
