Dear all,

I am wondering if anyone of you had a chance to use Dionex IC system ICS 5000 yet?

My company is planning to purchase one soon.

Do you have any comments to share, negative or positive, any problems you have spotted?

Thank you

That is a top of the line company; however, be sure to purchase the extended warranty plan with the instrument. Lord knows that within one year you will have problems with either the detector or injector. And, be sure to get the phone # of the rep in your region b/c once you buy it it's amazing how difficult it is to get customer service help.

Thanks Jumpshooter,

I think we are getting the extended warranty. We already have ics 3000 as well as DX 600 and anytime there is a problem we are getting an exellent service support from Dionex, so no worries there. :)

Once again thanks a lot for your post on this.

Sometimes even before you buy one. That's exactly the reason a few years ago my former employer (in Minnesota) bought an IC from another company instead.

I know this is an older thread, but I've just spent the last 2 months (off and on) setting up and attempting to validate our ICS-5000 for Method 300.0 (anions). Let me know if you have any questions, since I seem to have stumbled upon many snags... most of them related to Chromeleon 7.
