Oxygen scrubber?

Basic questions from students; resources for projects and reports.

Hello,

I need to measure ethylene concentrations in the headspace of water/air samples, and unfortunetly the GC-FID column (Rtx-5SilMS) at our university doesnt like oxygen.
Can anyone recommend an oxygen scrubbing device I could use?

Or alternatively another method for getting rid of the oxygen or isolating the ethylene?

Thanks a lot!

:) Teresa

tkb,

The column you speak of should not really care about ambient air and the detector you speak of should not really care about ambient air so I am a bit puzzled about the nature of your problem. Can you post a chromatogram or explain more about the nature of the problem?

Best regards.
