Hello there guys

Had a question

I would like to know if anyone has a standardization procedure for Fisher Scientific Accumet 100 Columetric Karl Fisher?
I have called Fisher Scientific and after being passed here and there , I still don’t have an answer.
I would really appreciate, if anyone has a PDF file of Instruction Manual of this thing

Thanks in advance

Hi

Well if I understand you correctly, you typically do not use a standardization procedure for Columetric Karl Fisher as with volumetric Karl fisher.
The Columetric reagents are typically "absolute" at least for the application I use in pharma buisness ie USP/EP methods. However we do check the instrumnet and reagents with a standard (100-1000ug/ml?!) when we run the instrument and check recovery against pharmacopiea requirements (EP I think, not in office so can not confirm).

Dear mijnadarian

I cannot help with the Accumet 100 manual.
But at least you may get some information about working with water standards from our KF titrators.
krickos is right, coulometric KF is an absolute method. Therefore no calibration is required. But validation of 100% current efficiency is required.
Please read pages 42 to 44 of the respective manual.
