I am attempting to re-start a Finnigan TSQ7000 LC-MS/MS system and am having a little bit of trouble doing so. I have been at my current position for a little over 5 months and I’ve been informed that the system was pretty much just powered down around a year ago without any sort of powering-down procedure. We have re-built both roughing pumps and they seem to be pulling plenty of vacuum. Once I get the computer and instrument booted up and communicating the display screen on the MS says “Turbos Not At Speedâ€

Once the turbo is bad, the only way is to change to a new one. Let both rougling and tubo run for a while. For old machine, it may take quite a long time (i.e., overnight) for Turbo to reach desired speed.
