Hi all,

Anyone run post-column analysis of amino acid could please tell me what is the RSD% of the replicate results. That does not include sample prep.
Just roughly.

Thanks for any input.

Based on Information from a multi-lab study we participacted in through the American Oil Chemist's Society (AOCS).

Labs using Post-column derivatization reported RSDs in the following ranges:

Intra-sequence (triplicate) 0 - 27% depending on residue and sample type.
Inter-sequence (n=6) 0 - 24% depending on residue and sample type.

Labs using Pre-column derivatization reported RSDs in the following ranges:

Intra-sequence (triplicate) 0 - 15% depending on residue and sample type.
Inter-sequence (n=6) 0 - 13% depending on residue and sample type.
Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Thanks for your reply.

In case, we use run standards, everything is fine, so what would the RSD expect to be. Anyone have run this kind of analysis?
