Hi ,

method of adsorption = 5 g of solid material +200 ml of ppm solution + shaking then analysing by hplc after sonication or filteration ( we assumed the amount that were disappeared is adsorped to the soil ) .

but how can i do Desorption experiment because i want to plot the graph to each other .I read many papers but i didn't come to method that can help . Do i need to do the same but with increasing tempreature to get it from solid to the solution or what please ?

Any help will be much appreciated

No simple answer. Depends on the chemistry of your analyte and of your sorbent, and on the mechanism of sorption, and you know more about that than we do

A couple of general comments:

1. Adsorption may be irreversible (i.e., you may *never* get it back off).

2. Perhaps you can displace your compound with something else that is preferentially bound.

Tom ,

how do people generally do desorption experiment ? . From your experience do you have some websites that can bring to you various method of adsorption or desorption other than science direct or web of knowledge . I don't know how people find this out from regulatory or other place

Thanks from your help :D
