Essential Oils and Pesticides

Hi All,
hope all is well, and work isnt building up too much! i am abit stuck and thought id check here see if anybody can be of help or assistance.
i am looking for any information, methods or any kind of literature on essential oils and pesticides, am just trying to find out what are the common types of pesticides found in essential oil, if at all any, in order to develop method using either GC or HPLC.

Pesticides to be expected depend on the oil and the source. I have had a "Florida orange oil" in which I found bromopropylate. And bromopropylate is not listed for use on citrus in the US. (The oil was sold as "not for food use" or some other such label.) So the first answer is: expect anything.

The methods will depend a bit on which oils you are looking at and which types of pesticicides are of interest. I personally like GCxGC-TOFMS for screening and even quantification because sample preparation is not requried in many cases. Just spike with internal standard and inject. I am not aware of formal methods, however.
