did any body face this proplem b4?

our agilent 6890 gc stucked at 40C and not responding to any increase from chemstation or gc pannel

Turn off the main power and see if the start up diagnostic tells you anything.

Also reboot the PC running Chemstation.

Probably has to do with the PC or its communication but easy enough to do to see if any error messages pop up.

best wishes,

I think maybe the motor to open and close window for cooling and heating the oven is broken. If it can not switching that means the oven can not heating or cooling and GC LCD will appear a announcement "oven shut down".
Agilent CE

Yeah look at the back of the GC. There is an oven vent motor with two dampers that will close when the oven is heating and open to cool. If they are stuck open all the time the motor is broken, its not too difficult to replace.

The other possibility is that the oven shroud is broken (either the sensor or the heater). Usually if the sensor breaks it shows as either -273 C or 400 C. Does the oven feel like its actually 40 degrees? If you set it to heat does it feel warmer but the setpoint sticks at 40?

Obviously that's a hardware problem, which can be the fan, motor, flap motor, the mainboard the sensor etc.. Please telephone the vendor
