So, I'm sure many of you have seen the teaser site linked above. Any speculation on what this new advancement might be? I'm going with an XBridge-branded ion exchange UPLC column, based on the fancy graphic on the teaser page. Any other guesses? Or maybe Uwe can let the cat out of the bag? We won't tell, we promise....

It will be a totally new chemistry specifically engineered to separate pigs! :pig:

Looks like a zwiterionic column to me with all the + and - flashing....

Kostas, that sounds better than my idea, but I think skunked_once is onto something here...

At least it doesn't look like an alien and I haven't had my mail filled with strange post-cards for the last six months (Thanks Phenomenex).

Oh come on, lmh, you don't like the Phenomenex ball guy?

I will say this, the Waters column-guy is pretty cool looking...

No, it was Gemini that did it for me!

Yep, I do remember the Gemini marketing, implying of out this world chromatographic performance... I can not comment on the effectiveness of the marketing but it was original!

The Phenomenex ball guy reminds me vaguely of Mike from Monsters, Inc.

Based on the picture, my guess is that this is trimodal column (cation-exchange, anion-exchange and reversed phase) similar to SIELC's and Dionex trimodal columns.

My opinions might be bias, but I have about 1000 examples to support them. Check our website for new science and applications
