Hello all

Can anyone point me to on-line compilations of retention indices - I am thinking in terms of the internet equivalent of the old Jennings and Shibamoto book.

Thanks

Take a look at flavornet.org. Click on the enter flavornet button.

Thanks Don

I should have mentioned that I had found that one already. I need something that covers "non-flavour" compounds. NIST has something, but only for non-polar phases, and I am using a PEG column.

The Pherobase, publishes Kovats indicies on different columns for probably hundreds of different compounds. I hope this thread keeps going; I'd like to find more resaources like these

Thanks, I found that one also.

The NIST webbook does have indices for a variety of phases: http://webbook.nist.gov/chemistry/name-ser.html - type in the name and tick the gas chromatography box.

http://www.odour.org.uk/cgi-bin/search.cgi is a somewhat smaller collection, specifically for flavours.
