Dissolution is a test where tablets are put into a USP dissolution apparatus (there are several types of these) in a dissolution media (again, several to choose from) and sampled after a specified time(s). Samples are then assayed against standards via HPLC, UV...

IVIVC stands for "In Vitro In Vivo Correlation" - it is the fondest and often unrealistic hope that the dissolution test results will parallel results from clinical trials (where patients are given the tablets and their blood is assayed at regular intervals).

Sink conditions - in this context, you need to have enough dissolution media to dissolve a minimum of 20x the amount of drug in a tablet.
