Hello,

I'm trying to calibrate PEG on the GPC, my solvent is (deionized) water, but the problem is that i get a very weird chromatograph, with only one very small peak which sometimes is not clear enough to measure.

Do you have any ideas on what the problem might be?

What is your detection technique?

I called the manufactor and I realized that my column's detection ability was not sufficient for the PEG4000 (MW~3400) that I wanted to measure.
So I guess i have to ask for a new column or use another technique.

I meant; what kind of detector are you using?

Regarding the column, it doesn't really matter whether it excludes or includes the analyte. It should be possible to detect a peak somewhere provided a relevant detection technique is applied.
