I must develop a method for the determination of fumagillin and flumethrin in honey by GC/ECD. The limit of detection required is 2 ug/kg. Can anyone help me, please?

By what method/procedure do you extract/isolate the fumagillins?

The biggest problem is that i can´t see even the standart...i "must" do it with a GC/ECD anyway...

Hi Girvuch; Flumethrin is pretti much sencitive by ECD but I do not know for how much. what is the concentration of the STD you are using? what are your chromatographic condition?
You probably will need SPE to clean up and concentrate your sample enough to get 2ppb.
Is this the Fumagillin formula C26H34O7? if is it; then I do not think you goind to be able to detect it by ECD at least you derivatize it; remember you need electronegative group for ECD. As most electronegative the groups as higher the detection.

Very difficult, if not possible, 2ppb for GC-ECD is only possible if you pre-concentrate your samples tens to hundred times.
Even use GC-MS/MS with QuEChers, 2ppb LOD for many pyrethroids are hardly achievable. Pyrethroids are tough analytes for both LC-MS and GC-MS.
