Dear science community,
I am new here but not withstanding, I want know how to prepare n-butanol in phosphate buffer at pH 8 for extraction of hormone. Thanks in advance for you great help.

As we are not telepathic and therefore don't know anything about your method "n-butanol in phosphate buffer at pH 8" has very little meaning.

How much n-butanol (conc? is it M, % v/v, or other conc units)?
What type of phosphate buffer sodium, potassium, ammonium or a mixed phosphate buffer? Also what is the buffer concentration?
Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

A google found the solubililty BuOH in water is 8g/100gH2O. I will expect a decreasing in the Buffer.
Excel

Maybe Pessima70 wants to make buffer saturated butanol?
In that case just mix about 4 parts n-butanol with 1 part phosphate buffer pH 8. After mixing, the butanol layer stays on top. Keep the solution like this and and it will always be saturated.
