I am running a Shimadzu 2010AHT using Chromeleon software version 6.8 and have experienced wrong vials being injected even although the sequence is correct, someone told me this could be due to the fact that there were numerous sequence interrutions before the injections and a software bug could cause different vials being injected after the interruptions, has anyone heard of this before or have any knowledge on the issue? thanks

I think I have heard that as well from our technicians. Then usually some lines are deleted in a running sequence, others are added, nothing saved or saved when connection between server and IPC is lost....
Injecting from the wrong vial would be a major issue in system validation.

Azi: One of the "best practices" that I try to do is to really be sure of the sequence order that I want to run; often in the middle of a run while inspecting data I will want to re-inject a sx or std; so what I do is always add one extra inject to the seq table for each sx or std so that I can be sure that I will not be tempted to revise the seq table. Of course manual injection obviates this matter--but not efficient.

there are 2 possibilities when using chromeleon:
1. if you change a sequence in mid run and forget to save, the software will perform according to last saved sequence. in GLP mode you can see in history whas has been done.
the solution-save the sequence. if in the end of a change you remember to have a look at the ready check you will be asked to save first. other solution in CM 6 you can set the preferences to always save changes

2. there is a bug in the shimadzu samplers. i have no idea from when but it has been there since i know class VP. in a given sampler, it simply injects from where it wants and it does it when it wants, working good on given days and not on others. i meet this bug the first time 7 years ago on a system connected to then EZChrom software class VP.
for all of you that have had a missing vial non explainable out there with shimadzu, that is the cause

I agree with previous posts. I have forgotten to save changes after multiple sequence interruptions (adding, removing samples) and it has messed everything up
