Rapid Trace issue

Hi everyone
We are using one of the old Rapid Trace units originally made by Zymark but more recently by Biotage before they were discontinued.
We have a very frustrating issue that I wondered if anyone had come across and perhaps solved.
When we turn the unit on, the power lights come on and then within a brief period of time, go off. The unit is still powered as I can hear the fan on the power supply working. It doesn't connect to the software at this point.
Sometimes this happens within a few seconds of turning the unit on, on a few occasion it happened several hours later.
I thought of flashing the firmware again but that might be risky if the power fails whilst flashing.
I have also sprayed the circuit boards with canned air in case there was a problem there.
I know that these are very old units but for our needs it has worked just as we needed it to.
Any thoughts
Thanks in advance
Kevin
