Flavonoids in IAM column [June 21, 2004]

collecting retention times for some flavonoids (log P > 3). need good resolution. using a registech IAM.PC.DD2 (12um, 300A; 3cm x 4.6mm) column in a dionex summit hplc system.
tried solvent system of phosphate-buffered saline (PBS at pH 5.3) with 0 to 30% acetonitrile (more seems to create precipitation). for 70/30, got a peak for one (the more hydrophilic one) out of four samples; none for the others. for 100%PBS, no peaks were observed.
any suggestions? different solvent system?

They may still be retained. use a lower phosphate concentration, without saline, and go to a higher concetration of acetonitrile.
