Can Anyone help me about the analysis of (2RS)-2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]cyclohexanone. Presently i am analysing this molecule on DB-XLB Column. Sample Preparation is 5% in MDC and the GC Condition is
70°C(3 minute) @ 10°C/Minute ---->280 for 10 minute / Injector 270°C / Detector 300°C.
I am unable to find the repetability in Run to Run and also the Linearity. i also used the Solvent Acetone , and MeOH but the Repetability and Linearity is not found.
The Most important is the sample is Basic in Nature.
My Question is that the column which we are using is suitable for this kind of compound or not. we also have the column DB-14, DB-1, DB-624 but these columns are not suitable for this type of molecule and give the front tailing due to basic nature of compound.
