I am confused with these two events described in waters manual. The description is not clear to me.

It says baseline is drawn from event start to event end. But in the figure it shows the baseline is draw from a point after event start and to a point before event end.

Also I could not digest the concept of baseline averaging. What do you mean by baseline averaging and also how do you set baseline points based on baseline averaging.

Can someone help.

Hi sana_sankar,
I have a little spare time (thanks to an inconsiderate volcano in Iceland! and hence all my posts today...) and I just noticed your post has not been answered.

I hope I can clarify the Force Baseline by Time event in Empowers Traditional integration.

With Force Baselines by Time event, the baseline is drawn from the event start time to the event end time.

I believe your initial confusion comes from looking at the Force Baselines by Peak event.
For this related Force Baselines by Peak event (but not the same event), Empower examines the time region between the event start and end times. The base line is then drawn from the peak start of the first peak after the event start time, to the peak end of the last peak prior to the event end time. Therefore the Force Baselines by Peak event appears to “show(s) the baseline is draw from a point after event start and to a point before event endâ€
