Carbonate Removal Device Causing Tailing?

Hi,

I just installed a new CRD200 on the ICS3000 (Dionex). It's removing the carbonate alright but it's led the other peaks to tail even more than they did before. Has anyone else had this happen? Have I just installed it wrong or is this just what happens with the device?

Incidently, what is the acceptable asymmetry values for peaks? I have been told that tailing factors are usually set at two, but I can't seem to find anything to back it up or to indicate what is reasonable. What I have at the moment seems well out anyway.

Any help would be great!
