I usually clean our source as manufacture recomend. But is there in way can I get more cleaner source with fewer steps? i.e is there any solvent can clean the source so I can avoide the scrubbibg procedure or at least make it more easier?

You may try a Dremel type tool with various brushes. Use an aluminum oxide slurry with water. Try Darby Dental Supply. They sell the brushes and also handpieces that will work with them. They use to have a nice aluminum-plexi-glass denture box that would work well. Although the Dremel may be less expensive. (You may need a smaller collet if they don't supply one.) I use Q-tip type swabs for the inside of the entrance lens and also ion focus aperature. A cone brush for the inside of the ion focus. Stiff bristle for the outside except drawout plate and repeller. Use a soft bristle for those two. An old tooth brush under running water, watch out for an open drain, will remove most oxide and a Q-tip run through the entrance will dislodge most oxide. That way when you introduce the parts into solvent most of the oxide will be gone.
Another way may be to use various grit oxides and clean by hand. Scientific Instrument Services sells a variety. Use 4000 first then an 8000 or 10. Ask Tony or someone there what they recommend. They also sell a cleaning kit but not sure if you'd want what they have.
