my first message disapeared - a new attempt.

I may use an "old" CP9001 -, I have the acquisition card but no installation software. So I may try to use any analog signal from the GC.
Is there any possibility to record this signal with a data logger- if yes: where are the connectors/plug-ins and which pins?

Hello Jens,

I found a related discussion in this forum, which may help you:

Another idea: if the GC can provide an analog signal, you could use our UCI chromatography interface (A/D converter) and our Chromeleon software to acquire and process the data.

Chromeleon can control many 3rd party instruments, including many older instruments and GCs (something to consider, if you have several LCs and GCs from various vendors in your lab), but unfortunately it cannot control this one. Analog data acquisition however might be possible.

Thank you for your reply, I know this previous discussion. But I need details of the CP9001 outputs, because I have no data sheets: which pins could give me an analog signal of the WLD sensor? in mV or mA . I think that this signal should be available at the back front - there are 4 plug ins.
Perhaps somebody has a technical data sheet about this device and can help me: e.g.: plug in left side, on the top, ground is 5 and signal 3. that would be perfect thanks in advance

The CP9001 is a very old GC that is no longer supported. I assume you have contacted your local Varian supplier as they bought out Chrompak ?
If in the UK you might be able to get Prochrom to help

Do You have any problem with it, yet? ml
