I have an Agilent 6890 GC that has the HPIB hookups. The main board has been converted over for network with the conversion boards.

The main board has gone bad and I ordered a replacement. Unfortunately I ordered the 6890N board which has onboard network and requires a network header, which my older GC does not have. If I order the network replacement kit from Agilent, can I just install the network main board and the network header and all is well? Or do I need to just send this one back and order the other board?
Hi!

You should contact the technnical service. I think that you must change the main board.

Good luck
