We are trying to switch from chemstation to Empower. We were not able to collect data because project ran out of memory last night. Today in the morning, we expanded the size of the project, but can not run our sequence by making any injections.

Is this because of Empower or because of other issue.

Thanks.

I figure out it is mobile phase comsumption alarms that won't let it make injectin because mobile phase is not ready.

How to disable this auto alarm?

Are you using either a serial or an Ethernet connection (allows instrument control via Empower), or are you using an E-SAT/IN to collect data?

If *not* using an E-SAT/IN, have you had any help from either an Agilent rep. familiar with Empower or (better yet) a Waters rep. who knows how to hook up an Agilent?

At any rate, such alarms are best disabled on the instrument via hand-held controller (a.k.a. "gameboy").
Thanks,
DR

Disable our add volume to the bottle fill on the gameboy

Bottle levels are managed on the instrument and read by the driver. ChemStation and EZChrom drivers read that information properly. If the Empower driver does not read it, you could do an enhancement request at `waters or do not switch at all. If it is for compliance and reporting you want to switch, go for OpenLAB ECM and Intelligent Reporter and hook your ChemStations to that.

Hi,
You may wish to follow EmpowerGuru's advice on this!
The Early Maintenance Features/Functions (EMF) are still live with Empower, the bottle filling messages are handled by the Empower ICS (driver), these will be displayed in the Empower Message Center. Messages that are sent from the A1200 modules are very descriptive – so check the Empower Message Center if you have any instrument failures.
