We have multiple users on our LC instruments. I have set up individual folders for each person inside the main methods folder. When using the insert fill down window we can browse to the needed method. When we click OK sometimes the full path is transfered to the individual samples and other times it thinks the method should be in the main methods folder. When this happens you need to go to each sample and select a method in the main method folder then reselect the method and browse to the method inside the user folder, very tedious process. Is anyone else having a problem like this and have they found the culprit?

That is essentially what I do. My method is to select New Sequence, Sequence Table. Then I select the Insert/Fill Down. Tell it where to start and how many vials. Then browse for my method, enter sample name, number of injections/vial and click OK. If I only get the method name with no path in the method field then I know it didn't follow my path when browsing. At this point the only thing I can do is change the method for each vial in the sequence table.

It is easy to become confused because there are three copies of each Method (Master, Sequence, Data File). When setting up your sequence you should always start with the Master Method in the \Methods sub-directory.
