Chemstation - using new batches of internal standard

Hi everyone,

Just a simple one regarding chemstation rev.A.10.02 and internal standard (IS) solultions.

I may have to start using an new batch of internal standard (of similar concentration), in my experimental (i.e. running out of internal solution A halfway through making calibration standards OR half way through samples) and will have to make IS solution B.

1.) Will chemstation notice this change and calibrate if the new solution concentration is entered in sequence table and/or calibration tables?

I realize that it is not a good idea to use two different concentrations within one compound's calibration table levels though.

2.) Additionally, would it be wise to make IS solution B concentration less than IS A's to prevent programme extrapolation off of calibration table??

Many thanks.

I'd set up as Method 1.M for the first IS solution, then "Save as 2.M" with calibration using the second IS solution, all other parameters being the same. The specify in the Sequence Table whether 1.M or 2.M is for which injection.
