Hi Gents,

Would anyone know if it's possible to program the start of a 6890 GC at given time interval (each 15 minutes for instance) during several days / weeks for online analysis of a stream. I was thnking of using a 24 hours sequence and the chemstation scheduler but it sounds laborious to me. Does anybody know a sofware or chemstation that would do the job in an elegant way.

Thanks in advance,

Fred

Hi,

A few years ago, I wrote a small VBA program to start our dissolution bath. (It started at 6.00h, so that we could take our first sample at 8.00h without being here so early).
This was based on programmed mouse actions.
Actually the program clicked on the right positions on your screen to startup the bath.

Maybe that's an option?

I have not used HP/Agilent software for quite a while, but if I recall correctly there was a built in option to use clock times rather than run times when setting up sequences - it could turn on a GC before you got to work and run a conditioning programme for instance.

This could be achieved quite easily in our Clarity chromatography software using command line parameters.
