Chemstation Shutdown Macro for 6890 Manual Inject

All,

I have just acquired an HP 6890 GC with a manual inject inlet. I just got the system up and running and everything works great. I have Chemstation B.03.01 and I'm trying to figure out how to have the GC shutdown (or go on standby) after the run is complete? Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to modify the SHUTDOWN.MAC macro for a manual injection on my GC?

As of right now, after a run is completed I have to load a new method (Standby) I created that basically turns off the machine. I can't put this method as my last in the sequence table because it waits for the manual inject before the "Standby" method goes into effect. Any help would be great.

Thank You

Is the last line (row) of your Sequence Table set up for a "blank run", that is:
Leave blank the cell for Vial number, make number of injections = 1 (even though you won't be injecting), and make the method name STANDBY (STANDBY.M). After the run for your last actual sample completes, the software should then automatically load STANDBY.M and be "waiting" for its injection (that will never happen).
