hydrogen bonding of LH-20 stationary phase

LH-20 stationary phase is especially suppose to take advantage of hydrogen to effect separation along with other intermolecular interactions, will hydrogen bonding can contribute to retention(separation) if I use water as mobile phase since hydrogen bonding between water and solute are suppose to stronger than that of stationary phase an solute.

please help.
