LCMS ion pair reagents help

Does anyone know if ethane sulfonic acid is LCMS compatible as an ion pair reagent? If not could anyone make a suggestion as to a good ion pair reagent for LCMS/UV use at 205 nm? Thank you for you help

Will you us in positive or negative mode?

The instrument gets used in both modes, but mainly positive. This analysis will be preformed in positive ion mode.

The longer-chain alkyl sulfonates are widely considered to be non-volatile, but I don't know about the C2 (I suspect it won't work). The usual suspects for MS work are HFBA or TFA, neither of which is a good choice for UV below about 210 nm. I'm not sure you're going to be able to find a dual-purpose negative-charge IP reagent.
If it were my problem, I'd go with one of the evaporative detectors for the non-MS work.

All suflonic acids are not-volatile and thus not compatible with the MS...
