How to simulate fused peaks. What i have used is the gaussian peaks. Gaussian model cannot generate fused peaks, shoulder peaks or the rider peaks.

Please clarify - I have generated pictures of fused gausian peaks in Excel many times. So, what sofware are you using to generate this model?

I am using C++. I need the mathematical model for generating fused peaks.

How can you generate fused peaks using excel.

The equation for the Gaussian curve is given in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaussian_function. A fused peak is the sum of two peaks. Select parameters for each peak (corresponding to height, width, and displacement along the x axis - which would be retention time) and compute the combined signal (f1(x) + f2(x)) at each point x of interest. Where f1 and f2 are the equation for the gaussian, each with the different parameters.
