If you have the SmartCard2 upgrade you can use an 8234X or 82350 HPIB card and Chemstation G1701BA in Win2k. I would recommend the 82350 HPIB card as it uses a PCI slot (8234X cards are ISA boards). I would recommend against an 82341D board as it does not work with Win2k (or, it does not work reliably with Win2k...).

If you do not have the SmartCard2 upgrade you can use an 82335 HPIB card and Chemstation G1034C. I would recommend Win98 as the OS, though Win95 and Win3.1 will work.

These are configs that I've used successfully. You can also use a SmartCard2 upgraded GC/MS with the SmartCard1 configuration that I listed above (you'll need to specify the MS as a 5972) but I'm not sure why you would, heh.

Great reply, Carl. Any ways to make the Smartcard1 work with the 82350 (PCI) card? I can install Chemstation and run it on WinXP, the 82350 talks to the 5971, but I can't get Chemstation to talk to the 5971. Sorry to bring up an old thread.
