Lab rat? Or not?

Judging from the replies in the Work Clothes thread, I'd assume that most of us in here are lab rats (some just dressed better than others, haha).
Am I correct?
The employees in the plant where I work call me a "lab guy."
"Man, you eat so healthy, you're such a lab guy."
Hahahaha.

I'm either in the lab gathering data or in the office trying to make sense out of it...

I'm definitely a lab rat. I was hired out of a two-year program at a comm. college to run IR scans. A few weeks of that and they moved me to wet chem, not long after I started prepping LC runs. Then I was moved to 2nds (alone) and had to work on the instruments to get things to run correctly, using the motto "it don't get more broke than broke". That's how I became the "instrument expert". Now they are going to move me to method development, alone. All that in 6 years.

That's the advantage of working at a small plant that is part of a big international company.

Well for me being a lab rat is my dream. I'm still working on my degree as of the moment. I am a working student but I never let any hindrance get on my way. It's a bit expensive for someone like me to go for a full load that's why it's taking me long to complete my degree. Once I finish college I will be a true blue lab rat.
