Phosphate oligomers

Hi Everyone
I'm new here, cause I've just started my work with the HPLC. My recent problem is that I don't know how to reach a good separation of phosphorus-containing oligomers. Is RI detector good for this? What type of solvents should I use to get a good separation? It hydrolysis rapidly in water.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you in advance
Monika

If your sample is unstable in water, then your choices are limited to something like normal-phase chromatography, or size exclusion (if the monomers are large enough to give you significant size differences among the oligomers.

Assuming there are no UV absorbing groups, then RI or one of the "evaporative" detectors (ELSD, CAD, or condensation-nucleation) are your only realistic choices.
