Hi there,

I realize this is a bit of a shot in the dark but I figure I'd try. There is a group here that has a HPLC-PDA/MS Waters system which they purchased a few years ago. Due to an incorrect de-install of the software (Millenium 3.2), their options key disks will no longer work to do a fresh install.

Waters has been of no help in this matter (despite the fact that the system was still under warranty when this occurred). Does anyone know of any way to work around this problem?

Thanks,

Trishia.

Trisha,

I can put you in touch with someone who may be able to help

E-mail me at gknox@pos.ca and I'll send you the information.
Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

If you can find a person with a spare system, you can try the following:

Do a complete ghost backup of the working system
Uninstall it (thereby creating a valid key diskette)
Restore the ghost back-up (thereby getting the working system back)
Use the key diskettes to reinstall the version that went wrong.
