Amide column for normal phase?

Hi,

We have a hydrophobic compound we need to purify. In addition to non-aqueous reversed-phase chromatography, we would like to perform a test using normal phase chromatography. Our semi-prep HPLC system is compatible, but we do not have a dedicated normal phase column and would prefer to avoid buying an expensive semi-prep column just for a test. We instead have an Xbridge HILIC amide 250x10mm (Waters), can it be used in normal phase mode using solvents such as hexane and isopropanol?

Thank you for your answers!
I got a reply from Waters: yes it can be used.
