I am relatively new to the Analytical world and need some advice with columns. I am interested in the levels of volatile siloxanes in silicone. The current column is SH-624, 221-75864-30. Would this be acceptable or would a new column be desirable.

For most of us, those are complications in our analyses. Inlet septa, vial septa, SPME sorbents, columns, are all made from these types of materials. You can't keep them out of your chromatograms.
That said, if your 624 phase gives you good peak shapes and you can separate all of your analytes, it's as good as any column you might choose. It's all about getting the column to do the job.

I've done a fair bit of volatile siloxanes analysis using GC-MS, generally coming off thermal desorption tubes.
Have used a DB-624 just fine before, but usually have a DB-VRX installed in the instruments, I think either would work okay.

Do you mean the D4, D5, D6 volatile silicones like used in solid antiperspirant solids? Or others?
