Hi,

I have noticed that on Agilent (Infinity II) HPLC instruments, peak width settings on a DAD and the same peak widths on a VWD correspond to different Hertz.

I am used to reasoning in Hz, but if I do so, I have different peak widths set for the same method using different detectors. Assuming 'hertz' signifies 'number of data points per second', why are these settings different?

How should I set up my instrument methods so that they are effectively equivalent?
