Troubleshooting CDS Connection with Legacy Instruments

Hello

I am currently facing connectivity issues between my Chromatography Data System (CDS) & a legacy instrument (e.g., older model HPLC or GC). The instrument appears to be properly configured & communication settings seem correct, but the CDS is unable to read data from the instrument or establish a stable connection.

Has anyone faced similar issues with integrating legacy instruments into newer CDS setups? :?:

Any tips on troubleshooting discussions / insights on firmware or software compatibility that may help resolve this problem? :?:

I am particularly concerned about potential driver or splunk interface compatibility issues & would appreciate any suggestions on resolving these connection barriers without replacing the entire system.

Thank you ! 8)

Please provide some more specific information and help will likely be offered.
Before doing that, put some of your specifics into the search field... chances are good that someone else has encountered your problem and had it solved here (the one good thing about old kit - none of the problems are new).

Yeah, this will depend on the versions of instruments and software; you may need a firmware upgrade of the components. Have you contacted Agilent? They should definitely be able to help with this given you got the CDS license from them.
