Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner with TD-GC-MS system (TD100-xr, Markes, and 8890 GC - 5970D MSD Agilent model). I expect to analysis some VOCs compound in the thin glue layer of small screw (of iPhone product) by using this system.

Does anyone have some Applications note or some documents related to my issue can help me?

Thank you all so much for your helping!

I can't say that I've ever seen your specific application but there are countless that are similar out there.

I used mine to analyze for residual solvents in aluminum can coatings. Cut strips of coated aluminum such that they would fit in a sample tube. Find the conditions that would force direct thermal extraction of those solvents from the coating and trap them in the TD-100. Analyze by GCMS. It's a good technique. You can add internal standard without worrying about it equilibrating into the coating because it's an exhaustive extraction technique.

If you can get your sample into a sample tube, you can use your TD-100 to analyze it. Markes has numerous application notes available on their website.
