MassLynx Analog Channels

Hi All! We are using Masslynx with our HPLC equipped with RI and PDA detectors. I recently turned on acquisition of system pressure, flow rate, and line flow %s, which increased our total number of analog channels to 7. We ran an experiment with the RI detector (which is assigned as analog channel 7), however whenever we process the data in Targetlynx, nothing shows up. However, if we directly view the chromatogram from the sample list, we can see the data. I tried to get some information from Waters and it seems like Targetlynx can only utilize analog channels 1-4. Does anyone know if it's possible to re-assign the RI channel from AN7 to AN1? Waters said I needed to reduce the number of measured channels and re-run the experiment, which seems crazy since I can see the data in Masslynx but just cant process it.

I just ran into this same issue when installing a Thermo CAD detector and a second binary solvent manager (I wound up with 11 Analog channels to deal with, and the one I actually wanted was at the end of the list…)

Open your MassLynx "Inlet Method". Select the "Inlet" and open the “Data” tab. Make sure “Show diagnostics” is selected so those channels will be visible as well. UNSELECT (uncheck) all of the channels. This should narrow down the “Analog Channel” display options.

If that doesn’t work, you may need to re-configure your system and populate your desired detector or eSATIN to be the first/top configured detector (Inlet Method --> Tools --> Instrument Configuration --> Configure, then run the configuration wizard; under “detectors” make sure the detector with the desired analog signal is configured/listed at the top of that list).
