Discussions about GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-FTIR, and other "coupled" analytical techniques.

No, we actually have a variety of instruments in our lab, so any vendor will work for data system reasons.Do you already have a data system in place that will accommodate a LC/MS/MS from a certain vendor? If so, and if their service is not terrible, I'd lean that way, other things being equal.
I do like Sciex instruments in terms of performance (including their sensitivity in negative mode) though I have to admit their reliability is not as good as before
you'd surely need a service contract and be prepared for random glitches and batches stopped over weekend
Thanks for your feedbackI have used almost exclusively Agilent instruments in the past. Have had a lot of reliability issues over the years, but the methods are fairly robust once everything is fine tuned and their service engineers are usually pretty good when you can schedule them in. Recommendation - whoever you go with, make sure you get a good service contract. Especially with a 'tricky' analysis like the PFAS methods, it may very well pay for itself many times over...
