EPA method 522 (1,4-dioxane in drinking water) uses methylene chloride for the SPE elution step.

Anyone know of discussions at the EPA to change this solvent for the EPA 522 extraction method?

Does anyone have a version of EPA 522 using another SPE elution solvent?

According to this article it states that MTBE or ethyl acetate could be used as an elution solvent. I have not tried it myself as of yet.
